The A511 Sensor Test Box is fitted with two standard Adcon 7 pin
Binder inputs connectors. Each carries 3 off 0 - 2.5 V analogue inputs
and a pulse counter input. The input circuit has been designed to
replicate as closely as possible that of the Adcon RTUs, to ensure
consistency in readings taken between the two devices.
A 5 pin Binder input is provided for solar panel testing and for
connection to SDI-12 sensors. Plug a solar panel in to the connector
and you can measure the panel’s output voltage and charge current,
easily detecting faulty panels.
The A511 may also be used for configuration and testing of SDI-12
sensors. An adaptor cable which converts from Adcon 7 pin Binder to
the 5 pin Binder format is supplied with the unit. This allows Adcon
supplied sensors to be tested easily. An adaptor cable with 5 pin
Binder plug and Alligator connectors is also available for testing of
third party supplied sensors.
When SDI-12 mode is selected you can read the sensor information,
change the sensor address and make a manual measurement using
one of the available measurement modes.
